I children, you know, they are very demanding and it is often difficult to completely capture their attention. Naples however, is full of surprises for them as well, and whether it is for a day, a weekend or for longer, it offers multiple opportunities for fun.

Common opinion describes Naples as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. A popular destination for many tourists who come from all over to its bustling streets to be won over by the richness of this wonderful city. Typical dishes, customs and history manage to fascinate just about everyone.

There is no shortage of fun and wonder for even the youngest children.

Small steps in a big city

Each child is different from the other just like "the grown-ups," and each of them, from an early age, show in the most spontaneous way possible, their passions. There are those who love the nature, or those who often play archaeologist as Indiana Jones. Those who want to become doctors or those who, beyond their own desires, look forward to spending precious time with mom and dad or grandparents. Having a child is truly the most beautiful thing in the world, and the sweetest and deepest emotion is to see them happy. There are many attractions or ideas that the Neapolitan city suggests. It's all about getting organized and choosing the most suitable route for our children.

A Bagnoli, for example, multimedia entertainment and the workshops designed especially to entertain and teach children, following the special path of the fabulous City of Science. Choosing this stage you will not be able to fail because the complex is designed just for children and will succeed in capturing the attention of even the most demanding little ones.

Most beautiful parks for outdoor play

Naples also offers opportunities to spend time outdoors. There are several urban parks large and small, where there are also play areas for children.

The Forest of Capodimonte is definitely the most extensive one, where you can spend an entire day perhaps bringing a packed lunch and where you can play outside on its lawns.

However, smaller urban parks are also the nearby Poggio Park with its beautiful artificial waterfall and pond surrounded by plants and benches.

In the posillipina area, however, is the scenic Virgilian Park where as well there is a play area for the little ones.

A child who loves nature is a more responsible adult. So indulging this passion and cultivating it together with him or her is really important and can teach and awaken in us that sensitive side that has faded between work and daily commitments.

In the city center, for children who do not like to walk too much, there is the beautiful Municipal Villa, where nature and the sea are side by side alternating with the play area in the villa, possibility to rent bicycles and tandem bikes and chalets where you can enjoy a good ice cream. In the villa, then, it is also possible to visit the precious Aquarium of Naples with its tanks of turtles, various fish and jellyfish.

Little Indiana Joneses

For all children who love archaeology or are fans of Indiana Jones adventure movies, Naples offers a variety of places that are sure to amaze the curious eyes of children.

First, we propose a walk through the fantastic Underground Naples. Here a guide will be able to tell stories and legends related to the tradition and folklore of this wonderful city. Narrow tunnels and cool tuffaceous walls will be the perfect setting for this little adventure.

For a more "comfortable" archaeological option, however, we propose a visit to the grandiose Archaeological Museum of Naples. Its rooms with statues and paintings also include the Egyptian collection with real mummies and an area dedicated to the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum with casts and interesting objects found during the excavations.

Stroll through the alleys of Naples with little ones

Do your children like to walk? Take them for a nice walk through the main streets of the city.

Coming down from the beautiful Spaccanapoli, you will be able to get as far as the Plebiscite Square, where children can meet the statues of the seven kings of Naples and play at crossing the square with their eyes closed (or blindfolded), passing between the two equestrian statues placed in its center.

For princesses and knights, the Castel dell'ovo will be the perfect setting for them to play by indulging their imagination.

Walking, however, through the streets of the historic center on the side of Via Mezzocannone, you can take them to the fascinating Sansevero Chapel.

Tuttavia il percorso verso il crater features several small kiosks where you can stop and buy souvenirs such as caskets of volcanic rock collections.

Alternando la passeggiata mano nella mano ed eventualmente parti in braccio, arriverete in cima dove i bambini si entusiasmano a veder sbuffare le fumarole e trovarsi davanti ad un panorama così vasto.

The fantastic Excavation by Pompeii and of Herculaneum. Intere città dove passeggiare con i nostri piccoli avventurieri, perlustrando i resti delle case romane e immergendosi negli usi e nelle tradizioni di questa antica civiltà.

Altro luogo perfetto dove passeggiare con i più piccoli e scoprire tante meraviglie è il Vanvitellian Park in Bacoli with its Casina Vanvitelliana, a jewel set in the placid waters of Lake Fusaro, a private residence of the Bourbons who had made the area their hunting ground, built by Carlo Vanvitelli, son of Luigi Vanvitelli.
