Thanks to this particular geographical conformation that determines its unique natural beauty, the Rotaract Club of Pozzuoli has outlined several routes where you can keep fit by simply walking.

Because of the clean air, the presence of greenery, and the proximity to the sea, these routes are the perfect circuits for those who like to feel good and are concerned about their health. These walks are also good for our four-legged friends who often need some healthy exercise, even better if in the company of their owners.

Among them itineraries, in fact, include those frequented mostly by those who wish to play sports at the 'open air or engage even sporadically in healthy motor activity, or others that, because of the special setting, are chosen as destinations for romantic walks in sweet company or to enjoy a wonderful landscape. They are all strictly open spaces where there is no prohibition or limitation on the presence of the dogs who as we all know need to stay active not only to avoid serious physical problems such as obesity, diabetes, etc., but also to improve their behavior and relieve stress.

The itinerary on the Yalta Promenade

The Yalta waterfront is one of the signature places of the Puteolian promenade. Fantastic on warm summer evenings, this path consists of a promenade area that faces the sea on one side, while on the other it is entirely lined with flowerbeds and green areas, interspersed with play areas for young children.

Going all the way along the waterfront to the end, you then access the St. Vincent Walk, a branch trail that continues on a path skirting the cliff more closely and provides truly breathtaking scenery. The route extends for 750 meters and can be walked in an average time of 8 minutes with about 1100 steps. The Yalta promenade is just a few meters from the Cumana, Cappuccini station.

Before the beginning of the Yalta Promenade, another stretch of the Pozzuoli Promenade extends for about 2300 meters, named after the street of the same name on which it winds for 2300 meters to the Cumana station, Duty.

The waterfront street of Via Napoli, in fact, is open to urban traffic but has a long sidewalk where trees and clubs alternate with wonderful coastal views it overlooks. Many prefer to walk along the waterfront in the early morning hours for jogging or brisk walking. Others linger to watch the sea by sitting on benches or on the low wall present throughout the path. The view ranges from the Bagnoli Pier, with behind Nisida, up to the headland of Cape Miseno. Finally, the sidewalk is often crowded in the night hours by young people who meet to spend a pleasant evening with friends. The walk involves about 3300 steps, walkable in about 25 minutes on average.

The route from Piazzetta Aldo Moro to Lake Lucrino

Starting from Piazzetta A. Moro in Arco Felice, with its many cafes and restaurants, you can take a pleasant walk until you reach the Lake Lucrino. The small lake is located very close to the Cumana train station of the same name. Here a path completely surrounded by nature offers a wonderful setting for walking and resting the mind, accompanied by the pleasant music of the waters of the small lake. The route includes a length of about 1300 meters that can be covered in about 14 minutes with 1900 steps.

The itinerary around Lake Avernus

A favorite destination for many is the beautiful trail that surrounds the entire area of the Lake Avernus. The path circumnavigates the mouth of the ancient crater now covered by brackish water. Rich in flora and fauna typical of Mediterranean vegetation, the area is frequented by families, couples, sportsmen and even dog lovers. Along the way, among farmhouses, playgrounds for children and stakeouts for the birdwatching, there is also a training circuit for our four-legged friends who will be happy to accompany us on this wonderful walk. The trail is 2800 meters long, for a walk of about 4000 steps. The average walking time is about 30 minutes.

The route from A.Moro Square to Capomazza

Starting from Aldo Moro Square, another route has been identified that goes all the way to Capomazza. Among the streets of beautiful Pozzuoli, this route is perfect not only for the inhabitants of the surrounding area but also for those who want to try their hand at a beautiful walk of no less than 2100 meters that counts about 3000 steps in an estimated time of 23 minutes. A walk in the middle of the city that will not fail to amaze you.

The itinerary from Capomazza Square to the Belvedere of San Gennaro

From Capomazza Square it is possible to take another urban walk that leads to the Belvedere of San Gennaro. The route covers a length of about 2400 meters, also passing near theFlavian Neronian Amphitheater of Pozzuoli. The walk involves about 3500 steps in an average time of 27 minutes.

The Monterusciello Bike Path

A beautiful bicycle path of about 880 meters stretches in Monterusciello. The path is situated among gardens and play areas for children, designed and upgraded for the well-being of citizens. The path can be completed in just 1250 steps in ten minutes of walking in the open air.

The route from Rione Toiano to Via Cicerone

Another walk in the urban area is the route from Rione Toiano to Via Cicerone. On the road that stretches for a distance of about 850 meters, there are lawns and tree-lined avenues that will be the happiness of our four-legged friend. The route includes about 1200 steps, which can be covered in an average time of 9 minutes.

The itinerary in the lido area in Licola

In Licola, on the coastal side of the long shoreline where numerous lidos in the area follow one another, it is possible to take a long walk by the sea that stretches a full 3 km. Accompanied by the sea breeze, the path stretches an impressive 4300 steps for a 33-minute walk.

The Montenuovo Oasis Itinerary

On Montenuovo Pozzuoli, there is a natural oasis of exceptional beauty. Here the vegetation rises lushly along the trails from which you can admire a fantastic panorama that includes the beautiful Gulf of Pozzuoli.

The outward and return route is about 840 meters long. It is a short 9-minute route involving about 1200 steps. However, the verdant park offers a breath of fresh air, although it is not very far from the city center of Pozzuoli.
