The June 2 Feast is a major Italian holiday and was established to celebrate the birth of the Italian Republic. It is celebrated every year on June 2, the day of the popular referendum in 1946 that sanctioned the end of the monarchy. Most of the celebrations take place in Rome, where the President of the Republic lays a laurel wreath to honor the Unknown Soldier at the Altar of the Fatherland.

On this day there is also a military parade along Via dei Fori Imperiali, in which the armed forces, police, firefighters, Civil Defense and the Italian Red Cross take part. In 2024, the holiday falls on Sunday, June 2 and so why not treat yourself to a nice weekend of fun and entertainment in Naples?
