Naples is for the umpteenth time the protagonist scenario of a film: filming has begun on Caracas, new film with Toni Servillo and directed by Marco D'Amore, also known for playing Cyrus of Martius in the note TV series Gomorrah.

Based on the literary work "Naples Railway" of Ermanno Rea, the film follows the words of Jordan Source, a Neapolitan writer returning to his hometown after many years, meets and tells the story of Caracas, a man who militates in the far-right ready to convert to theIslam, and his impossible love affair with Yasmina.

This work wants to tell us with authenticity and realism about a damned but at the same time still magical Naples, alive with dreams, passion, and the will to do.

The locations of the film

Among the locations that are hosting the actors for filming is the Vasto district of Naples. The director himself specifically requested to visit the area together with the local committee to experience firsthand the reality of the neighborhood, understand its critical issues but also its potential, and imagine his characters coming to life among those streets.

In addition to the market area of Vico Soprammuro behind Garibaldi Square and Market Square, three days of filming are also planned in the oldest part of the old town, in Pisanelli Street, Armanni Street and vico Purgatorio in Arco, a small street in the Decumanus Major which is also the beating heart of Neapolitan legends.

The locations were chosen to capture every aspect of the essence of this city, which looks beautiful even at its most informal.
