It is entirely excavated in a tufa wall, and a large barrel vault can be seen on the ceiling.
Especially interesting is also the guided excursion to the Aragonese Castle of Baia every first Sunday of the month. The fortress is located on a promontory overlooking the sea and was erected in 1495 by the Aragonese as a defense against attacks from the sea. Today the castle houses the Archaeological Museum of the Phlegraean Fields And several art exhibitions.
Those who love the deep sea can opt for the Submerged Park of Baia. The experience gives you the opportunity to make diving or snorkeling at Baia Harbor to take a closer look at the many archaeological finds scattered along the seabed. The event does not require a diving license and is also perfect for those with less diving experience.
To conclude, we propose this tour to the excavations of Cumae and the Casina Vanvitelliana.
